Words of Support

"Your work matters. You're reaching people no one else is helping."
— Former President Vicente Fox of Mexico

"Your work matters. You're walking the streets and working directly with the often forgotten poor."
— Former President Vicente Fox of Mexico

After hearing him speak in Houston, I was honored to join former President Vicente Fox at a small private dinner at his home. He later gave me a personal tour of Centro Fox, a remarkable center for leadership and free expression built on the site of his grandfather’s home from the Mexican Revolution. His words of support for Paper Houses Across the Border were deeply meaningful and unexpected.

“I walked the colonias with them. I saw the hunger and the hope. This is not charity—it’s transformation.”
— Journalist, Houston Chronicle
“Paper Houses saves lives, quietly and without fanfare.”
— Community Leader, Acuña
“Paper Houses is like an angel. They treat even us, who are drug addicts and street people, like we are important and they provide real help."
— Recovering addict, Acuña
“Because my boys know there is a hot meal waiting at school, they now jump out of bed and can't wait to go to school. Paper Houses did that."
— Mother of school children, Acuña
Awards and Recognition

Faith, Hope, and Love -  Followed by Action

These awards are not ours alone — they belong to you.

Your generosity has helped hundreds of families in Mexico find medical care, dignity, and a future — without having to leave their homeland. Some were Haitian families who stopped walking north because someone finally saw them where they stood.

We've done this quietly, without salaries or fanfare, because it's simply the right thing to do.

If this work matters to you — if you believe in healing, in compassion, in staying when it would be easier to run — then stand with us.
